March 17-23, 2010 - Municipal Auditorium, Kansas City, MO

Welcome!

to the Official Web Site of the Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship.

The Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship is the longest-running collegiate National Championship of any sport in this country.

The tournament is the brainchild of Dr. James Naismith, founder of the game of basketball; Emil Liston, athletic director at Baker University; and Frank Cramer, founder of Cramer Athletic Products. It began in 1937 with the inaugural tournament at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, MO. It was this tournament that led to the creation of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, the NAIA, in 1952.

The 2010 tournament will be the 73rd edition of College Basketball’s Toughest Tournament and will be held March 17-23 at Kansas City's Municipal Auditorium.

Check back here often for updated information on the tournament, including tickets, sponsorships, hotels, tournament records and facts, and much more.  As we move closer to the tournament, look for brackets and team information on the site.
